Broadway Studios

Located in the heart of North Beach, Broadway Studios is a historic gem and cultural anchor in San Francisco. With its iconic Mission-style facade built in 1919 and sweeping views of the Transamerica Pyramid, this legendary venue has witnessed some unforgettable moments.

History

Originally known as Garibaldi Hall, the space first gained fame in the 1930s as a beloved ballroom echoing with swing and jazz—welcoming legends like Louis Armstrong to its stage.

During the 1940s the building housed the Italian Supper Club.

Boundary Pushing

By the 1970s, it evolved into a haven for boundary-pushing performers, with icons like Robin Williams and Blondie lighting up the room.

Then came the 1980s, when the venue became ground zero for the city’s punk scene, with acts like The Dead Kennedys, Iggy Pop, The Nuns, and even Metallica playing to packed, roaring crowds.

Making it the perfect backdrop for HAVE and our historical immersive creative experiences.

Today

Today, Broadway Studios stands proudly restored—a timeless backdrop where vintage charm meets modern creativity.

With soaring ceilings, a classic bar, and intimate corners made for pop-up galleries, performances, and connection, this isn’t just a venue—it’s a living piece of San Francisco history.

Every inch of the space pulses with stories. From swing and punk to comedy and culture, it’s been a stage for legends—and now, it’s ready for the next chapter. HAVE was created to spotlight local voices, and there’s no better home than a building that’s been amplifying them for over a century.

Whether you’re digging for vintage finds, watching live art unfold, or vibing to a vinyl set beneath century-old beams—this is where the city’s past and future collide. This is where it happens.
